Superintendent Foster Welcomes MPS Community Back for the 2026–2027 School Year

As Monson Public Schools prepares to welcome students back for the 2026–2027 school year, Superintendent Paul Foster shares a special back-to-school message with our students, families, staff, and community.
In his message, Superintendent Foster highlights some of the new opportunities and initiatives coming to our schools this year, including new English language arts, science, and character and wellness curriculum, continued growth of our Medical Assisting and Engineering & Advanced Manufacturing pathways, the launch of Early College opportunities, and a new Business pathway at Monson High School.
Most of all, we are excited to welcome our students back and begin another great year of learning at Monson Public Schools!
First Day of School
Grades 1–12: Monday, August 31, 2026
Preschool & Kindergarten: Thursday, September 3, 2026
Superintendent Foster will also be sharing additional back-to-school videos highlighting other new initiatives and important updates for the year ahead.
