The Monson School Committee will hold its next Regular Business Meeting on Wednesday, October 22, 2025 from 6–8 p.m. The meeting is open to the public and can be attended in person at 43 Margaret Street, Room 428, or virtually through the Google Meet link in the agenda.

The October issue of the Monson Public Schools District Digest is now available. This monthly publication provides families, staff, and community members with updates from across the district, highlighting recent accomplishments, upcoming events, and areas of continued focus.

This issue features updates on Breast Cancer Awareness Month, the upcoming Early College Program, hands-on learning with the One8 Foundation, and student success across sports, clubs, and career readiness programs.

A vacancy has occurred on the Monson School Committee. The Select Board and School Committee will hold a joint meeting to appoint a qualified individual to fill the unexpired term. Letters of application outlining interest and related experience are due by Friday, October 17, 2025.

The Monson Athletic Booster Association, Inc. and our Monson Mustangs are proud to kick off Breast Cancer Awareness Month. Throughout October, our athletes will be wearing pink, rallying the community, and collecting donations to support families touched by breast cancer. Join us at today’s opening events — Golf, Cross Country, and Girls Soccer & Cheer — and mark your calendars for more awareness games ahead. Superintendent Paul N. Foster has launched his Entry Plan—a roadmap for listening, learning, and building relationships in his first months with Monson Public Schools. The plan is designed to celebrate what makes Monson special, identify opportunities for growth, and shape a shared vision for the future. Families are invited to join upcoming Listening Sessions or share feedback through the community-wide survey.

Monson High School will be closed on Tuesday, September 16 due to a plumbing issue. Athletics will continue as scheduled, and Quarry Hill and Granite Valley will have a normal school day.

Monson High School is offering students two incredible travel opportunities: Spain (with an optional Morocco extension) in April 2026, and Mexico City & the Yucatán Peninsula in April 2027. Learn about upcoming PTSA events, fundraisers, and volunteer opportunities, and discover how joining the Monson PTSA can keep you connected, support your child’s education, and strengthen our Monson Public Schools community.

Monson Public Schools’ breakfast and lunch menus for August and September 2025 are now available online at monsonschools.com/food-services. Families are encouraged to review the menus as they plan for the new school year. As a reminder, all students receive healthy meals at no cost each day through the National School Lunch and School Breakfast Programs under the Community Eligibility Provision.

The 2025–2026 bus routes are now posted at monsonschools.com/transportation. Routes are subject to change, so please check back for updates. Families should have students ready 5 minutes before pickup. Please note: transportation is not provided for School Choice students.
