Monson Public Schools is pleased to share the district’s Strategic Plan for 2026–2031, which establishes a clear direction for the work of our schools over the next five years.

Developed through Superintendent Paul Foster’s entry planning process and subsequent collaboration with the district’s administrative team and District Instructional Leadership Team, the Strategic Plan reflects feedback and perspectives gathered from staff, families, and community members.

At the center of the plan is the district’s commitment to its mission of maximizing learning, maintaining high standards of academic achievement, and preparing students to become responsible, productive global citizens.

The Strategic Plan is organized around five key strategies that will guide the district’s work:

  • Engaged Students – Ensure every student feels welcome, known, and supported.

  • Empowered Educators – Empower educators to deliver excellent, student-centered instruction and supports.

  • Excellent Curriculum – Create engaging, challenging learning experiences and paths for every student.

  • Effective Partnerships – Partner with families and the community to ensure students succeed.

  • Efficient Operations – Build strong, reliable financial and operating systems that support our schools.

Together, these strategies encompass initiatives ranging from strengthening student wellness, belonging, and voice to enhancing curriculum and instructional practices, expanding learning opportunities and career pathways, supporting and developing educators, strengthening partnerships with families and the community, and ensuring district resources and operations are aligned with our priorities.

The initiatives outlined within the Strategic Plan represent work to be accomplished throughout the five-year period from 2026–2031. Annual priorities and action steps will help move this work forward over time while allowing the district to evaluate progress and respond to the evolving needs of our students, staff, families, and community.

We invite our families, staff, students, and community members to review the Monson Public Schools Strategic Plan 2026–2031 and learn more about the priorities that will guide our district in the years ahead.
