Minutes of the Monson School Committee Regular Business Meeting Quarry Hill Community School – School Committee Meeting Room January 15, 2020 Present: Chair Jeffrey Lord; Vice Chair Emily Graves-Harrison: Secretary Andre Dubois-White and Committee Member Colleen Flynn Also Present: Superintendent Cheryl Clarke; Director of Facilities Paul DeMaio Absent: Committee Member Jessy Shea Note: This meeting was not video-recorded. Mr. Lord called the meeting to order at 7:00 p.m. Contracts for the roof repair project at Quarry Hill were presented for approval. Discussion followed. Motion by Mr. Dubois-White to approve the Contract for Project Management Services (Accelerated Repair Program) as presented and authorize the Chair to execute the contract on behalf of the Monson Public Schools. (Second by Ms. Graves-Harrison) Roll Call Vote: Ms. Flynn Yes Mr. Dubois-White Yes Ms. Graves-Harrison Yes Mr. Lord Yes Motion carries 4-0 Motion by Ms. Graves-Harrison to approve the Proposal for Designer Services, Schedule Design Phase for Roof Replacement (MSBA Accelerated Repair Program) as presented. Director of Facilities Report: Mr. DeMaio noted that necessary sanitizing precautions are being done at the high school to ensure the health and safety of staff and students. The heating issues are under control at the high school. Motion by Colleen Flynn to adjourn Open Session and move to Executive Session under M.G.L. Chapter 30A, §21a, Purpose #3, to discuss strategy with respect to collective bargaining and litigation, not to return to Open Session.
