Update from Superintendent Clarke

Good afternoon – Last night, the School Committee approved the following timetable for the return of our students to the buildings as we are now out of the "red zone" and in the "yellow zone" per the Department of Public Health. Monday, October 5 Students in substantially separate placements and all preschool students will return in person. Note: This does not include students who have a one-to-one support staff unless they are also part of a substantially program. Monday, October 19 Kindergarten students will return in person. Students in Hybrid Cohort A (Monday/Tuesday) will return in person. Wednesday, October 21 Students in Hybrid Cohort B (Wednesday/Thursday) will return in person. In the meantime, students will continue to learn remotely in their present structure. The above is assuming that we will remain out of the red zone moving forward. Should we be designated red, we would pivot back to how we are currently operating. Additional information will be sent home in the coming days. In the meantime, if you have any questions, please contact your building administration. Questions related to special education should be directed to Suzanne Morneau, Director of Student Services. All administration will be available to answer questions beginning Monday, September 28. We look forward to seeing you soon! Sincerely, Cheryl A. Clarke Superintendent
