    PRESCHOOL Integrated preschool program At the Monson Public Schools Preschool Program, our integrated preschool provides a positive, safe, and inclusive environment where children of all abilities feel comfortable, valued, and inspired to become lifelong learners. Through play-based learning, hands-on exploration, and intentional teaching, students learn and grow together while building meaningful relationships. We offer engaging, developmentally appropriate activities that support each child’s growth in fine motor, gross motor, social-emotional, behavioral, and language development, helping all learners build a strong foundation for future success. Preschool Programs: Full Day Program Hours are 8:55 a.m. - 3:10 p.m. Cost is $600 per month / $6,000 per year 9-1 Program Hours are 8:55 a.m. - 1:00 p.m. Cost is $400 per month / $4,000 per year The Preschool Program at the Early Childhood Center is designed for children between the ages of three and five. Application deadline is July 17, 2026 for the August Admission. Monson Public Schools participates in the Massachusetts Inter-District School Choice Program. This program allows families to apply for their child to attend school in a district other than the city or town where they live, if space is available. Each year, the Monson School Committee determines whether School Choice seats will be available and in which grades. When openings are approved, families may apply for their child to attend Monson Public Schools. Fontaine Principal at Monson High School (MHS) Selection & Eligibilty Selection & Eligibility If the number of School Choice applications exceeds the number of available seats, Monson Public Schools will conduct a random lottery in accordance with Massachusetts General Laws (Chapter 76, Section 12B) to determine student placement. Siblings of students currently attending Monson Public Schools will receive preference in the admissions lottery. For applicants entering Grades 9–11, final grade placement for accepted students may be adjusted based on transcript and credit review during the enrollment process. Selection & Eligibilty How to Apply How to Apply Parents or guardians who wish to enroll their child(ren) in Monson Public Schools through the School Choice program must complete a School Choice application. Applications are typically made available in March for enrollment in the upcoming school year. Families may submit the application electronically, unless a hard copy is specifically requested.
