PRESCHOOL
Integrated preschool program
At the Monson Public Schools Preschool Program, our integrated preschool provides a positive, safe, and inclusive environment where children of all abilities feel comfortable, valued, and inspired to become lifelong learners. Through play-based learning, hands-on exploration, and intentional teaching, students learn and grow together while building meaningful relationships. We offer engaging, developmentally appropriate activities that support each child’s growth in fine motor, gross motor, social-emotional, behavioral, and language development, helping all learners build a strong foundation for future success.

COMMUNICATION
We believe it is important to have two-way communication between teachers and families. Throughout the year, conferences will be held to discuss progress. Also, reports will be sent home three times per year.
CURRICULUM
Our current curriculum follows the Common Core Standards for ELA, Math, Science, and Social Studies. The use of technology is encouraged within the classroom. We use a variety of instructional approaches including whole group, small group, and independent instruction.
SCHOOL CHOICE
The school choice program allows parents to send their children to schools in communities other than the city or town in which they reside. Tuition is paid by the sending district to the receiving district. Districts may elect not to enroll school choice students if no space is available.
