PRESCHOOL

At the Monson Public School Preschool Program, it is our mission to create a positive, safe environment where all children feel comfortable and are inspired to become lifelong learners. We provide activities that guide students toward successful levels of ability in fine motor, gross motor, social behavioral, and language development.

The Preschool Program at the Early Childhood Center is designed for children between the ages of three and five. Each integrated session and child development class has a maximum of 15 children.

If you are interested in learning more, please call the school at 413-267-4150 x403

SCHOOL CHOICE

The school choice program allows parents to send their children to schools in communities other than the city or town in which they reside. Tuition is paid by the sending district to the receiving district. Districts may elect not to enroll school choice students if no space is available.

COMMUNICATION

We believe it is important to have two-way communication between teachers and families. Throughout the year, conferences will be held to discuss progress. Also, reports will be sent home three times per year.

CURRICULUM

Our current curriculum follows the Common Core Standards for ELA, Math, Science, and Social Studies. The use of technology is encouraged within the classroom. We use a variety of instructional approaches including whole group, small group, and independent instruction.
