2023 Common Scholarship Application
The Common Scholarship application for local scholarships was sent out to seniors and their families on Monday, March 20th. Approximately nineteen local scholarships can be found in the common application this year. Students will only have to complete one Google Form, and copies will be provided for each scholarship to which they are applying. Applicants are cautioned to follow the directions and attach any additional requirements, such as an additional essay or copy of a transcript. Incomplete applications will not be considered.
Students should submit applications following the directions listed in the application (either electronically or via mail). The deadline is Wednesday, April 26th. Any scholarships that must be mailed must be postmarked by Wednesday, April 26. Students are responsible for mailing applications.

Wing Memorial Hospital Auxiliary Scholarship April 14, 2023
The Wing Memorial Hospital Auxiliary Scholarship will be offering a one-year scholarship in the amount of $500 to students planning to enter the healthcare field. Examples of careers that will be considered are nursing, medicine, physical therapy, occupational therapy, radiology, pharmacy, medical technology as well as other healthcare related fields. Massachusetts Broadcasters Association Scholarship April 14, 2023
The Massachusetts Broadcasters Association is committed to furthering the broadcast industry by helping Massachusetts’ best and brightest students pursue a career in broadcasting. Students who are permanent residents of Massachusetts and plan to or are enrolled at an accredited institution of higher learning are encouraged to apply for the MBA’s Broadcaster Scholarship Program. The MBA awards scholarships annually in the amount of $2,500 to students pursuing a career in over-the-air broadcasting. In addition, a $5,000 is awarded in honor of the former President of the MBA, Al Sprague. I Found Light Against All Odds April 14, 2023
I Found Light Against All Odds is a non-profit organization dedicated to helping today’s youth address social, emotional, and economic issues that they are experiencing in their lives. We are a resource to those that are going through difficult times and provide them with guidance. We truly feel that WE can make a difference in the lives of our youth that do not see the light. Amherst Orchid Society Scholarship April 24, 2023 The Amherst Orchid Society, established circa 1983 and of which I am a member, is offering a $500 scholarship for students intending to major in plant sciences, agriculture and/or related earth science disciplines in college. Awards are made based on the applicant's essay addressing their serious intention and passion for the subject. Please see Mrs. Sorel in the Counseling Department for an application.
Stephen Phillips Memorial Scholarship May 1, 2023 The Stephen Phillips Memorial Scholarship Fund offers renewable, 4-year scholarships to students with financial need who display academic achievement, a commitment to serving others (in school, in the community or at home), a strong work ethic, and leadership qualities. Hampden County 4-H Improvement League June 1, 2023
The Hampden County 4-H Improvement League will be offering a scholarship for promoting family life though youth and agriculture. The applicant must show current or previous involvement in an agricultural endeavor, is a member of a farm family or 4-H club (verification necessary). Preference will be given to students majoring in agriculture studies. Please see Mrs. Sorel in the Counseling Department for an application.
