The Common Scholarship application for local scholarships was sent to seniors and their families on Friday, March 25th. Approximately twenty-one local scholarships awarded at graduation last June can be found in the common application this year. Students will only have to complete one Google Form, and copies will be provided for each scholarship to which they are applying. Applicants are cautioned to follow the directions and attach any additional requirements, such as an additional essay or copy of a transcript. Incomplete applications will not be considered.


Students should submit applications following the directions listed in the application (either electronically or via mail). The deadline is Tuesday, April 26. Any scholarships that must be mailed must be postmarked by Tuesday, April 26. Students are responsible for mailing applications.

Father Robert F. Wagner Memorial Scholarship April 1, 2022

JERICHO, the Bureau for Exceptional Children & Adults in Holyoke, is pleased to announce the availability of the Father Robert F. Wagner Memorial Scholarship. Two $1,000.00 scholarships will be awarded annually to students from Western Massachusetts who are graduating from high school or are enrolled at an accredited college or university. The goal of this scholarship is to remember JERICHO’s founder Father Robert Wagner and to encourage and assist those who wish to follow in his footsteps by bringing dignity, respect, and wholeness to the lives of persons with disabilities. The Selection Committee will review all applications, identify the most deserving individuals based on the principles for which this memorial scholarship was created, and will make awards accordingly. The River East School-to-Career April 1, 2022

The River East School-to-Career Partnership is offering up to seven scholarships, in the amount of $500 each, to students participating, or who have participated, in a high school Work-Based Learning experience (Internship/Co op). This scholarship is intended to recognize success in career education, not necessarily overall academic achievement. The scholarship committee asks that you encourage ALL Work-Based Learning students to apply. All GPA levels will be considered. The application form is available at https://www.rivereast-stc.org/


The Women’s Empowerment Scholarship April 15, 2022

The Women’s Empowerment Scholarship was created in July 2018 to help power the movement of female leaders by inspiring and enabling women to pursue higher education. Special attention will be given to those who are pursuing careers in traditionally male-dominated fields. Overall, scholarship recipients will be those who have proven a commitment to academics, community service and extracurricular activities. Any grant from The Women's Empowerment Scholarship will be awarded with the intention of defraying a portion of the costs associated with education. Mark Bavis Leadership Foundation April 15, 2022

The Mark Bavis Leadership Foundation was created to help deserving young men and women excel in their quest to improve themselves, their school or their community. The scholarship is available to any high school student in the Commonwealth of Massachusetts. It is awarded on the basis of need, and is not academically based. In addition, the Foundation will give more serious consideration to those students who have made efforts to make a difference in their communities and/or have shown leadership qualities within their school or community. Massachusetts Broadcasters Association Scholarship April 15, 2022

The Massachusetts Broadcasters Association is committed to furthering the broadcast industry by helping Massachusetts’ best and brightest students pursue a career in broadcasting. Students who are permanent residents of Massachusetts and plan to or are enrolled at an accredited institution of higher learning are encouraged to apply for the MBA’s Broadcaster Scholarship Program. The MBA awards scholarships annually in the amount of $2,500 to students pursuing a career in over-the-air broadcasting. In addition, a $5,000 is awarded in honor of the former President of the MBA, Al Sprague. Amherst Orchid Society Scholarship April 20, 2022

The Amherst Orchid Society, established circa 1983 and of which I am a member, is offering a $500 scholarship for students intending to major in plant sciences, agriculture and/or related earth science disciplines in college. Awards are made based on the applicant's essay addressing their serious intention and passion for the subject. Please see Mrs. Ladue in the Counseling Department for an application.


Wing Memorial Hospital Auxiliary Scholarship April 26, 2022

The Wing Memorial Hospital Auxiliary Scholarship will be offering a one-year scholarship in the amount of $500 to students planning to enter the healthcare field. Examples of careers that will be considered are nursing, medicine, physical therapy, occupational therapy, radiology, pharmacy, medical technology as well as other healthcare related fields. Please see Mrs. Ladue in the Counseling Department for an application.


Stephen Phillips Memorial Scholarship May 2, 2022

The Stephen Phillips Memorial Scholarship Fund offers renewable, 4-year scholarships to students with financial need who display academic achievement, a commitment to serving others (in school, in the community or at home), a strong work ethic, and leadership qualities.
