MHS Daily Announcements - 9/24

Attention All Students: Your chrome book MUST be in the case that was given to you when you received it. If it is NOT in the case and it needs to be serviced for any reason, it will not be accepted by Tech Support until it is in the case!

LATE BUS: Beginning Monday, September 27th, the Late Bus will be available for students staying after school for extra help or to attend a club. The late bus is NOT an option for students staying after school for any disciplinary reason. The bus will leave the high school at 3pm. Students must tell the teacher they are staying after with, that they are taking the late bus. Please note that the transportation company must be notified by the HS by 1pm. If the student is NOT on the list to take the bus, they cannot get on and will have to arrange other transportation home.

Attention All Students: We will be having a spirit week starting this coming Monday September 27th. The individual days are:

Monday: Color Day - 7th is Red, 8th is Yellow; 9th is Orange; 10th is White; 11th is Green; 12th is Pink

Tuesday: Dress as the first letter of your name

Wednesday: Formal Day

Thursday: Decades Day

7th is the 1990’s 8th is the 1950’s 9th is the 2000’s 10th is the 1970’S 11th: is the 1960’s and 12th is the 1980’s

Friday: Mustang Gear or Blue and White

Attention High School Students: The Poetry Slam Club will begin meeting on Mondays after school in room 205. Our first meeting will be on October 18th--no experience is necessary! Please see Mrs. Walker if you are interested in joining.

STAND Students for Tolerance Awareness Nurturing Diversity for 9-12 grade students

We will start meeting regularly on Monday September 26th in room 211 at 2:15. If you are interested in making MHS a safe accepting place for everyone, come join.

UNDERSTAND for 7th-8th grade students will meet the following Monday October 4th in room 211 at 2:15. Everyone is welcome.

Attention MHS students: The Chess club will start in October. Beginners up to Grandmasters are all welcome. Stay tuned for details. Come play the moves of Fischer, Spassky, Tal and Botvinick! If you have any questions please see Mr. Roebuck in room 206. That is all.

Hello High School Students: Art Club will be held on Tuesdays after school, starting Sept. 28. You may work on murals, paintings, drawings, clay and photography ! Creative minds welcome!

Congratulations to the girls varsity soccer team on their 5-0 victory at Monument Mountain yesterday. Tennessee Murphy scored 4 goals while Emmy Finnegan also scored. Sam Stewart recorded 6 saves for the shutout. Practice 2:30-4:00 today.

Golf - Monson lost to Amherst 12.5 to 11.5 yesterday
