February 5, 2021 Update

Dear MPS Families -

Last night, the Department of Public Health released their weekly metrics, as they do every

Thursday. Please see these metrics below:

Case Count Last 14 Days

Our target: 43

Last week: 53

This week: 46

Additional metrics for your information:

Average daily incidence rate per 100,000

Last week: 45.1

This week: 39.2

Percent Positivity Last 14 Days

Last week: 8.11%

This week: 7.04%

The trend continues downward and this is good news!! We are obviously still not at the

target, but we have two more weeks to get to the 43 so that in-person learning can resume on

February 22. Fingers crossed! I will keep you posted as always!

Remember that what happens in the community impacts the schools. Please wear your mask

and follow state guidelines regarding social distancing and gatherings. This will help to

ensure that the number of positive cases in town continues that downward trend.

If you have any questions, please do not hesitate to let me know. Thank you for your

continued support. Please stay safe!

Sincerely,

Cheryl A. Clarke, Ed.D.

Superintendent
