Year of Graduation
Current Job Title
Faculty - Monson Public Schools
Fondest memory from school:
Picking one memory would be far too difficult! One of the best parts about MHS was that I was involved in so many different things. Senior year was up there, but managing basketball and baseball, One Acts and Student Council were definitely highlights!
How did your Monson education prepare you for your current job duties?
When I left MHS for college, I felt incredibly prepared to achieve success in whatever I decided to do. The things I learned in Mr. Renaud's English classes and Mr. C's math classes were things that resonated beyond the walls of MHS. Being an "intern" in PE with Degnan helped me learn to work with kids who were younger than me and being on Student Council and involved in so many aspects of high school made me well prepared for juggling the many duties I now have.
What advice would you share with current Monson students about your career journey?
ENJOY IT. You don't ever get to go back to this time in your life... As much as you want to go to college and "adult", don't let this time pass you by. Be the kind of person someone wants to work with later on... I never anticipated working with so many of my former teachers, but here I am, and it has been one of the best parts of coming back to Monson to work. Learn time management skills. You're going to need these for the rest of your life. Learn them when the stakes are high but not so high that you'll fail.
