Students at Granite Valley Middle School are part of a dynamic, rigorous learning community. Interdisciplinary teams in grades 5-8 provide a technology-enriched curriculum.  Teams are highlighted by their successful inclusion programs, flexible scheduling, interdisciplinary instruction, and active, hands-on classrooms.  Staff has developed programs and practices based on Turning Points 2000 and This We Believe.   The school has been designated as a New England League of Middle Schools (NELMS) Spotlight School as a result of its focus on research and effective middle level practices.  Its 8^th grade team was chosen as the 2004 Massachusetts Team of the Year.  Granite Valley Middle School is also enhanced by strong community support and parental involvement.
