Students at Granite Valley Middle School are part of a dynamic, rigorous learning community. Interdisciplinary teams in grades 5-8 provide a technology-enriched curriculum.  Teams are highlighted by their successful inclusion programs, flexible scheduling, interdisciplinary instruction, and active, hands-on classrooms.  Staff has developed programs and practices based on Turning Points 2000 and This We Believe.   The school has been designated as a New England League of Middle Schools (NELMS) Spotlight School as a result of its focus on research and effective middle level practices.  Its 8th grade team was chosen as the 2004 Massachusetts Team of the Year.  Granite Valley Middle School is also enhanced by strong community support and parental involvement.
