From the Superintendent’s Desk …

The School Committee is now beginning the process of hiring a Superintendent of Schools for the district.  As part of this important process, the Committee invites the input of our school community and the community at large in determining the next leader of our schools.  Therefore, if you have ideas with regard to the qualifications/qualities the candidates should possess or with regard to the selection process itself, please contact a member of the School Committee or send your ideas to my attention at the Superintendent’s Office at Granite Valley Middle School.  Thank you for your participation, as your input is valued.

Another way you may participate in shaping the future of our schools is to become a part of the strategic planning process.  Currently, we are meeting to review and strengthen the second goal of the District Strategic Plan.  That goal calls for creating stronger school-community connections in order to help the schools fulfill their mission of academic excellence for our students.  If you would like to be part of this renewal of the commitment to that important goal, I would invite you to join us for our next meeting scheduled for Thursday, November 13th, at 6:30 p.m. in the library of GVMS.  Thank you for your interest, and I hope to see you there!
