Grinspoon Award Winners

The Grinspoon Foundation has again invited the Monson Public Schools to participate in the Teacher Recognition Program which allows us to acknowledge and honor two Distinguished Teachers and one Outstanding First Year Teacher (a teacher in his/her first 3 years).  It is Mr. Grinspoon’s desire to honor educators for the work they do and to bring recognition to the importance of the teaching profession.

 The following teachers were nominated and selected by a group of their peers and will be recognized at a reception on April 30th at the Log Cabin: 

• Steve Vossen – Monson High School Social Studies Teacher
• Ryan Harvey – Quarry Hill Community School Grade 4 Teacher
• Sarah Krasowsky – (first year teacher award) – Granite Valley Middle School Special Education Teacher

 Each teacher will receive $500 to be spent on their classroom and $100 for their personal use, as well as an engraved plaque, a YMCA membership and other gifts.
